The End of an Era

A beautiful crumbling manson

Today a leader in West Bengali politics died. Mr. Jyoti Basu was 95 and an important figure of the Communist party. He was instramental in organizing land reform. There is a write-up in the NY Times at this address: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/18/world/asia/18basu.html?ref=asia

With the passing of Mr. Basu many have taken the day off, and tomorrow is a prosession which will close some of the city. I had plans to have fabric printed today but that was not possible and I don’t really expect it to happen tomorrow. I am learning to go with the flow.

At least Topo came to help me glue more fabric. We have about 3 more days of this.
