Paperworks

In the summer of 2012 I created a body of paper works at Dieu Donne´ in New York. During that time, I  worked directly with a master papermaker. While in residence,  17 pieces were made inspired by my travels to India. These works were made using stencils cut from Mylar and utilized both the techniques of pulp painting and water wash away.

Works have been shown:
Mantras, solo exhibition, Callan Contemporary, New Orleans, December 2012
McNeese Works on Paper, Juried group exhibition, Lake Charles, LA, March-May 2013
The September Competition, Alexandria Museum of Art, Alexandria, LA, September 2013
Louisiana Open, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans, August–September 2013.

A Center on Research grant from the Office of Academic Affairs, Tulane University made this work possible.
