A Sunday Stroll in the Neighborhood

January 11, 2010 Posted In India

There is much street culture here in Kolkata and it appears that you could spend most of your time outdoors as many people do and some are forced to do. Small stalls set-up to cook food, fix your shoes, cover your arms with patterns or even get a shave. There are people sleeping, shoping and washing in water pumps on the street. Children play,  dogs lounge,  and a lazy Sunday afternoon is the perfect time for a stroll.

I love looking at all of your photographs!

Thanks for the Pussy Footers Ball tickets. We had a great time! We also won some gift certificates in the raffle.

Hope you’re well! I start classes tomorrow. Happy MLK day.
